The world-renowned, 4-Diamond, Palmer House Hilton has been creating lasting memories in the heart of downtown Chicago since 1871. Since opening its doors, all but one President of the United States has slept in one of the hotel’s guestrooms or dined in its ballroom.  Its elegant Empire Room has hosted performances from some of the most internationally famous entertainment greats of all time, including Frank Sinatra, Liberace, Judy Garland, and Phyllis Diller.

The current building dates to the 1920’s and reflects the gilded age of opulent interior art and truly grand design, symbolic of luxury hotels of its time. Our grand, two-story lobby, often compared to the Grand Escalier of the Paris Opera, features 21 Grecian frescoes designed and created by French painter Louis Pierre Rigal as well as two Tiffany 24-karat gold chandeliers and majestic “Winged  Angels” statues.

• Gastronomy: Our world-class culinary team ensures a gastronomic experience for the senses, creating innovative banquet cuisine from our rooftop gardens and apiary, and sourcing local farms as much as possible. Your VIPs can also dine at Zagat-rated, critically-acclaimed Lockwood restaurant, with a private dining room seating up to 12.
