Chocolate Lovers Brownie Experience Package

In 1870, Bertha Honoré married Potter Palmer, a successful businessman and Chicago millionaire, who built Palmer House in 1871.  Bertha chaired the Board of Lady Managers for the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893.  She charged the Palmer House Pastry Chef Joseph Sehl to create a chocolate cake-like treat that would be easy to box and transport. And just like that, the globally famous brownie was invented at Palmer House.
